Marketing & Growth Lead – Trip-Ease
About Trip-Ease
Trip-Ease is building Nigeria’s premier multi-modal transport integration platform. Our mission is simple: make travel planning across buses, rides, and other transport options seamless for millions of Nigerians. We are at an exciting growth stage and looking for a hands-on, full-stack marketer to help us build brand awareness, acquire users, and establish Trip-Ease as the go-to mobility solution.
The Role
As Marketing & Growth Lead, you’ll be responsible for driving user acquisition, brand building, and market expansion. This is not a “sit back and manage” role — it’s for someone who enjoys testing bold growth ideas, executing campaigns end-to-end, and making things happen with limited resources.
You’ll run online ads, manage social media, create compelling content, and hit the streets with offline activations at parks, campuses, and events. If you’re creative, scrappy, and data-driven, this role will give you the platform to make a massive impact.
What You’ll Do
- Run Ads & Campaigns: Plan, launch, and optimize ad campaigns across Google, Meta, TikTok, and other emerging platforms.
- Own Social Media: Manage Trip-Ease’s social channels, grow our community, and ensure we stay relevant in Nigeria’s fast-moving digital space.
- Offline Activations: Organize and execute creative on-the-ground activations at transport hubs, campuses, and events to drive brand visibility and downloads.
- Growth Experiments: Test referral programs, influencer partnerships, and viral campaigns. Scale the strategies that work.
- Content Marketing: Develop and deliver engaging content (posts, blogs, videos, short-form campaigns) that connects with Nigerian travelers.
- Measure & Report: Track user acquisition, CAC, ROI, and campaign performance. Report insights to the leadership team and adjust strategies quickly.
- Brand Building: Shape how Nigerians experience Trip-Ease by managing messaging, positioning, and storytelling across all touchpoints.
What Success Looks Like
- 90 Days: Trip-Ease brand identity launched, first digital + offline campaigns live, 5,000+ app downloads achieved.
- 180 Days: 10,000+ monthly active users, referral program launched, measurable traction in social and offline campaigns.
- 365 Days: 20,000+ monthly active users, CAC trending under ₦2,500, ₦3M+ in monthly bookings generated through marketing-driven users.
Who You Are
- Education: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or have equivalent practical experience). A Master’s is a plus but not required.
- Experience: You bring 4–6 years in digital growth marketing, performance marketing, or brand growth — ideally within apps, marketplaces, or consumer tech.
- Track Record: You can point to a clear portfolio of campaigns, experiments, and measurable outcomes that demonstrate your ability to drive user growth.
- Full-Stack Capability: You’ve successfully managed paid ads, social media, and offline activations, with the ability to run end-to-end campaigns without relying on a large team.
- Growth Mindset: You design and test acquisition experiments (referrals, influencer pilots, viral mechanics) and know how to double down on what works.
- Scrappy & Creative: You’re a natural growth hacker who thrives on finding unconventional ways to acquire users.
- Data-Driven: You are comfortable working with analytics, tracking KPIs, and continuously optimizing campaigns to improve performance.
- Communicator & Storyteller: You craft compelling narratives tailored to Nigerian audiences across different platforms and formats.
- Startup-Ready: You’re adaptable, resourceful, and thrive in fast-paced environments with limited resources.
- Operational Strength: Strong project management and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
- Flexibility: Comfortable working hybrid (remote + on-site eventually & based in Lagos) and willing to travel for activations and events.
Bonus Points If You Have
